"Good news, everyone! I've finally taught the toaster to feel love!"
Ah heh heh.
Hey, guys! How are you guys? It's really great to see y'all again. I missed ya somethin' fierce, lemmee tell ya.
My weekend in Mexico was most awesome. See, I went with my awesome VisComrades (as me an' my crazy illustration friends tend to call ourselves) to stay at CEDO and paint a mural, that we designed, onto a shack for some oyster farmers...who now also rent kayaks and give ecotours. So, uh...if you're ever down in the Puerto Penasco area, go find these awesome Aquamar guys, and rent a kayak and eat some oysters, and all that kinda fun. *Nod nod*
I didn't wash or brush my hair the whole time, and it started doing amazing things in that moist sea air. Check it out.
And if you wanna see me eating a sandwich, and getting stuck in mud, and all my crazy friends, just...keep checkin' out the photos of my awesome friend Eva, who is awesome.
In other grand news...my recent gallery exhibition, "Better Than a Thousand Words" was extended by an extra weekend, due to popularity. Totally flattering! =)
Thank you to everyone who came. Our new show that went up Monday is not too far away, in the Kachina Lounge Gallery at the University of Arizona, in Tucson. It's titled "ILLustration: We Draw Good", and is really a pretty cool set-up. It's a show of sketches, work-in-progress, and otherwise process work relating to illustration. I've seen it up and it's really very fun and cool. The opening (er...way after the opening) reception is Friday, April 11 from 5:30-7. If you'll be anywhere nearby, please show up and have some of that yum-tastic free gallery food, and chat it up about art and all things awesome.
More great news...Today, my new computer arrived! I'm transmitting to you now live from my swanky new enormous HP desktop PC. Mmmm, multicore processors.
The other computer was named "Olympus". I'm calling this one "Hades". It is a sexy, sexy beast of a machine. *Drools.*
Now I just need to recover all the stuff from my old hard drive and I'm set. Oh, and get a more fashionable mousepad. The one I have is just...blue. How boring!
Bonus: The boxes make great furniture. I totally needed new shelves. =D
Well, the art has been piling up in my absence...both on my end and yours, so I've got a lot of scanning to do, and a lot of looking through your galleries. (Please don't be offended if I'm a little sparse with comments. If there's something you want me to be sure of seeing, just link me here and I'll be sure to leave you some comments! ;P )
*Throws love all around.*
