Hey, guys! How are you guys? It's really great to see y'all again. I missed ya somethin' fierce, lemmee tell ya.

My weekend in Mexico was most awesome. See, I went with my awesome VisComrades (as me an' my crazy illustration friends tend to call ourselves) to stay at CEDO and paint a mural, that we designed, onto a shack for some oyster farmers...who now also rent kayaks and give ecotours. So, uh...if you're ever down in the Puerto Penasco area, go find these awesome Aquamar guys, and rent a kayak and eat some oysters, and all that kinda fun. *Nod nod*

I didn't wash or brush my hair the whole time, and it started doing amazing things in that moist sea air. Check it out.

No, JoJo is not dead!

...But her computer is.

Last week, 'twas either my motherboard or my CPU that fried like so much delicious bacon. Considering the age and make of my box, it's not exactly worth it to make the attempt to get new parts for it...So, I'm gettin' a new computer. This, of course, riding fast upon the heels of the death of my scanner. Funny how these things cluster?

Anyway. My sweet new system will be here in about a week. Don't expect to see much of me before then. It's not because I love you any less. ^__~

Lah-dah...I'll be in Mexico all weekend. I'm excited; I've never been there. =D

It's pretty cool. I don't look totally awful in the photos, and we weren't misquoted too much. (Except that the reporter made me sound a little nicer than some of the things I actually said. You know how I get. XD)

Ladies and gentlemen...I have just turned in my book to my publisher. One-hundred and twelve pages.
I rescripted, penciled, inked, lettered, painted, designed, and otherwise put together a complete graphic novel in the space of six months, on top of my senior year of full-time school.

...Permit me a brief moment of unabashed self-congratulations:

...Okay. Tomorrow I'm taking a vacation. Going to spend all day sleeping, eating, reading comic books, playing "Guitar Hero", doing my laundry, and doing some cleaning 'round the lair. I'll be back to work on Monday. Big plans, big plans...

Heyyyy guyyyyys...!

So...Guess what! I've got a new project!
See, for a class assignment, I'm supposed to do this big, swanky chalk-pastel piece. All well and good, I s'ppose. I was given the pretty arbitrary theme of "wildfire". At first, I thought that I'd draw some kind of rocker-dude bursting into flames from the mighty power of his rock...And then my mind got wandering, and I found myself making up more and more information...

...So now I have a real, actual-factual completely-fictitious rock band...WYLDFYRE, the rockin'-est ensemble of musical hooligans and metal delinquents who ever rocked rock. They're so rock, they're measured in karats. They're so metal, a whole new left column of the Periodic Table of Elements is necessary to try to describe them. They're bad to the marrow, and a full seventeen times larger than life...!

FORGET THE HEARSE, 'CAUSE I NEVER DIE!!

...Ahh, my sweet poppin' fresh darlings, how I have missed you, in my absence! I have just returned from the frigid Frozen Northland, and its many wonders...its overcast skies the same curious off-white color of the ground...the six hours of what almost passes for daylight...the daily high temperatures of -20 Fahrenheit...

It was an excellent vacation. Nicely vacant. Except, of course, for a number of hospital visits. Not personally, but my mother, you see, has had better days. She'll be having neurosurgery this Wednesday, so please keep her in your prayers, that all goes smoothly, and that her recovery is swift. She does so dislike being under doctors' orders not to do anything. (She and I are alike, you know, in feeling horrible when we aren't being busy.)

Also on Wednesday, I start my first day of my last semester of school. Exciting and terrifying at the same time. XD
